JSPL has increased its portfolio of value-added product, bringing the worlds best to India and making an international mark. Production capabilities have expanded to serve the infrastructure sector, catalysing economic development and growth. JSPL has has an integrated steel plant (approved by Joint Plant Committee) at Raigarh in the state of Raigarh. The facilities include worlds largest coal-based Sponge Iron Plant (installed capacity 650,000 TPA) with six rotary kilns. Captive iron and coal mines make it lowest cost producer of sponge iron, growth and expansion plans include an additional 1.3 million TPA capacity sponge iron plant comprising four rotary kilns and the steel making capacity is being expanded from existing 400,000 TPA to 1.5 million TPA. JSPL has also a 205 MV power generation facility based on Waste Heat Recovery from rotary kilns, washery rejects and coal fines , with a capacity expansion to 350 MV, well on the anvil.

World longest and india 's only 120m long rails :
As a step towards forward integration, JSPL has set up a rail and universal beam mill producing worlds longest 120 meter long finished rails for the first time in India. These long rails apart from being more economical due to drastic reduction in weld joints also result in enhanced safety, service life, and increased reliability.

Universal beams and columns :
The mill is also producing Hot Rolled parallel Flange Beams & Columns for the first time in India . Typically known as H-Beams and columns are well accepted by consultants, designers and fabricators and is the material of the choice internationally. Because of their statical properties such as section modules, radius of gyration and higher load carrying capacity under direct compression coupled with substantial cost benefits over conventionally available taper flange beams or built-up sections.

Steel :
Supporting the production of finished products, JSPL has a most modern steel-making capacity presently to the tune of 400,000 TPA through one 60 ton Electric Arc Furnace, for obtaining clean refined steel one Ladle Refining Furnace (LRF) and one Vacuum De-gassing (VD) unit have been installed. Further a new melting shop is now commissioned adjacent to the rolling mills comprising one 100 ton LRF, 100 ton VD unit and one Bloom-cum-beam blank continuous caster as phase –I under phase-ii, one 100 ton EAF is now being added to increase the steel capacity to 1.15 million TPA.

Sponge iron :
At Raigarh, coal-based sponge iron is manufactured using 6 indigenously developed rotary kilns, with a capacity of 650,000 MT per annum, making JSPL the largest manufacturer in the world. The ongoing project for additional 1.3 million MT capacity of sponge iron with 4 rotary kilns is progressing ahead of schedule.

Power :
JSPL generates power from waste hot gases and washery rejects to meet Its captive requirements. The surplus power is supplied to chattisgarh state Electricity Board. The current generation of power is 205 MV. Work on another 50 MW plant is under installation.

Kabra painting and sculptures :
This is a famous sculpture situated near visvanath pali 8 k.m. away from Raigarh City at the hill. Many paintings are still safe. Many archaeology visitors had seen these sculptures.

Karmagarh sculptures :
This is situated 30 K.M. east away from Raigarh near the Orrissa border. In these old sculptures some pictures of animal are designed and filled with the use of different colours. They are designed upon the 300 feet high and 20 feet wide stone block.

Mainpaat: a beautiful hill station :
This is the beautiful natural visiting place in Sarguja District. Its height is 3500 meter from the ocean level. Its climate is cold during summer and a marvellous place for those visitors who are willing to see the culture of Tibet in chattisgarh. a place to see wild life in their natural habitate It is spread 104.55 squire K.M. area. Tourists can see many wild animals in their natural habitat. Many animals like Tiger, Panther, Barahsingha etc.can be seen there.
